We are currently working with a tier one investment bank based in London. They have one of the best names for sell side research of any firm, and are now looking to add a sell side equity research associate to their ESG team.
The role will concentrate on the analysis of company environmental, social and governance policies for investors.
In screening potential investments you could look at factors such as environmental standards - how does the company protect nature; social criteria - how a company manages relationships with employees, suppliers, customers, and the communities where it operates; and pay and governance.
Day to day this will involve:
- writing the research
- speaking with investors
- speaking with the management of companies you analyse
- monitoring newsflow
The position requires excellent commercial, business and financial analytical skills; excellent written English, and the ability to communicate complicated and difficult concepts and investment recommendations to clients in a succinct way.
They are interested in meeting people who will have a background as follows:
- equity analysts with a background in ESG analysis
- advisors from consulting or research with a strong track record of ESG analysis
- chartered accoutants - CFA/ ACAs
