Job Purpose/Role

The Auditor acts as accepted advisor to the business with in depth knowledge auditing finance topics (Accounting, Planning & Controlling, Tax, Risk Management, Actuarial). The role is about to advise managers and their departments and add value to the business by identifying business risks at an early stage and helping to improve controls. The Auditor analyzes the effectiveness of governance structures and processes, and checks if procedures are in compliance with legal and internal regulations. In addition to providing the audit results to auditees, the Auditor also proposes recommendations to close findings, writes audit reports, supports closing meetings and checks - in the follow-up process - if the recommendations were implemented. The Auditor participates as a specialist in audits, in cooperation with the team and aligned with the Audit Practice Head.
Strong technical and ethical characteristics are fundamental to audit success. Independent from the job level, an
Auditor should maintain appropriate technical skills as well as agility and a commitment to continuous learning.
The ability to see the big picture is important for each audit. Good auditors therefore focus on targeted questions which allow them to verify information from different angles.

Key Responsibilities
- Performance of risk assessments and development of risk-oriented audit programs
- Analysis and generation of feasible recommendations for improvement of organizations and processes based upon audit activities
- Explicit and precise communication of deficiencies and recommendations for remediation
- Creating and developing audit ideas
- Follow-up of audit recommendations and communication with responsible parties
- Contribute to data analytics and automation initiatives

Key Requirements/Skills/Experience
Qualification

- University degree in a business-related field (e.g. Business Administration/Economics or Quant/Mathematics)
- Solvency II and IFRS 17/9 basic knowledge
- Fluent in English both written and verbal
- Audit certification (CISA, CIA or similar) and/or CFA, FRM or - Actuary will be an advantage - the preparedness to obtain such certification a requirement

Experience & Key skills
- 2+ years of experience in the Financial Service Industry (Insurance, Banking is a plus) in finance related topics, or in internal or external audit or as a consultant
- Strong analytical, communication, intercultural, social and organizational skills
- Ability to work in teams, establish and maintain constructive working relationships
- Deadline-oriented and ability to multi-task
- Intellectual curiosity and readiness to travel
- Professional experience in data analytics and knowledge of common data analytic tools
