About this role
Team Description:
The Client Business teams are responsible for the strategy and distribution of BlackRock's products, including open-end funds, closed-end funds, alternatives, and managed accounts, among others, working in partnership with financial intermediaries. We have teams across U.S. and Canada, EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa), Asia Pacific, and Latin America.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the support and service for clients in Korea
- Client servicing - overseeing client enquiries related to BlackRock products, operational issues, and/or other post-sale matters
- Respond to client inquiries in a thorough, accurate and timely manner
- Assist, and in some instances, lead prospecting research efforts.
- Contribute to pre- and post-meeting logistics
- Consistently update and manage client information
- Build internal network. Work with respective BlackRock business partners to ensure excellence in client onboarding and servicing
- Be familiar with internal systems and processes
- Become a student of the markets
- Proactively think about client strategy and share ideas with lead RM
- Support RM in terms of providing material, taking care of client query about new product, formal/informal pitch process (RFI, RFP, DD, Presentation)
- Deepen relationship and trust with internal stakeholders both inside/outside Korea
Qualifications:
- 3-5 year experience in financial industry
- BA/BS Degree in related field (Economics, Finance, Accounting, or Marketing)
- Strong familiarity with computer applications (i.e. Excel, VBA, Word, PowerPoint, Access, etc.)
- Ability to work with numbers and basic knowledge of statistics
- Native Korean speaker and proficient English communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills -- Ability to build rapport with team members
- Commitment to gaining relevant knowledge, skills and experience; willingness to learn from "bottom-up"
- Strong execution skills and continuous positive, improvement mindset
- Ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment
- CFA qualification is a plus
