Director of Research

The position is for the role of Director of Research for a Registered Investment Advisor in San Diego with AUM of approximately $400M. The individual will work primarily with firm management in the research, due diligence and monitoring of traditional exchange traded securities as well as of private equity and hedge fund investments in a Private Equity Fund of Fund of approximately $100m. The Director of Research will be tasked with sourcing, due diligence and monitoring of these investments as well as handling the necessary regulatory, administrative and operational duties necessary to administer the Fund. They will also be responsible for the research and due diligence necessary to maintain exchange traded model portfolios and concentrated positions associated with traditional wealth management practice. They may be asked to perform the trading duties associated with these portfolios.
