Position Description:

We are looking to hire a UI/WPF Developer to join our Technology team supporting our Options Investment Platform. In this role you will be designing and implementing improvements and new features to the existing application suite, as well as contributing to the next generation of products currently in development. You will also interact directly with users to provide day to day operational support, supporting NY trading hours. Our technology stack includes C#, WPF, WCF, Windows Services, SQL Server, Python and Oracle PL/SQL. We operate an agile development process. Our tools include SVN, GIT, Jira, QuickBuild and GitLab.

Responsibilities
  • Work with users and to answer questions and solicit requirements.
  • Self-motivated and self-managing with the ability to identify next steps, prioritize tasks, and produce results in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with multiple teams to develop front end production high quality code.
  • Create interactive prototypes and test new interactions, visuals.
  • Build out and integration into electronic trading workflows.


Position Requirements:

  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science or related fields or equivalent experience.
  • Proven ability in providing direct user support, and delivering improvements on demand and support of NY trading hours is key.
  • 8+ years of professional software development experience.
  • 5+ years of WPF Development using C# and the .NET Framework.
  • 2+ years of writing WCF and Windows Services.
  • 2+ years of Python development experience with ability to write good production quality code.
  • 2+ years of development using Entity Framework.
  • 3 years of database development writing complex SQL queries.
  • Demonstrable experience using the MVVM framework with unit testing.
  • Solid grasp of OO design and use of design patterns.
  • Knowledge of composite application development like Prism and IoC containers like Unity.
  • Knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, and standard DBMS like Oracle and SQLServer.
  • Usage experience using tools like SVN, GIT, JIRA is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Unix scripting is desired.
  • Fixed Income and Buy Side knowledge/industry experience is an advantage.
