Position Summary:

The newly created role of Director of Investment Operations ("DIO") will help to establish and deliver an infinite timeline investment vision, philosophy and strategies that align with Vision Point's purpose of Impacting Those We Serve. The DIO has a key role in supporting the firm's fiduciary obligation to clients, and will lead the administration of the firm's portfolio management and trading functions, including oversight for investment manager and vendor selection, investment due diligence criteria and asset allocation policies, reporting, and risk metrics; manage investment committee meetings, perform and share investment research, host advisor and client education/update meetings, and participate on various senior level committees within the firm.

Responsibilities:

Establishes long term vision and strategies for VisionPoint's investment management practice ("VPI")

Work with the Board of Directors, CEO, President, Chief Compliance Officer and VisionPoint Investment Committee ("VPIC")

Attends VisionPoint Board meetings and provides reporting and commentary
Leads the DIO practice with proactive innovation, partnership with a deep alignment with the corporate Purpose
Manages periodic reporting schedule on trading and portfolio variables, including best execution evaluation.
Owns and develops VisionPoint Invest procedures and policies that effectively support RIA policy and regulatory disclosures.
Manages the development and distribution of VPI training and marketing material
Assists in the establishment and execution of due diligence and manager selection criteria
Assists in the establishment and execution of risk metrics and asset allocation policies
Designs, executes and oversees education and client deliverables, assignments/projects to members
Manages initiatives and project workflow
Participates in client/prospect and advisor meetings on a regular basis
Other responsibilities identified as appropriate

The VisionPoint Investment Committee ("VPIC")

The VPIC is positioned between VisionPoint's Board of Directors and the DIO
The DIO is a member of the VPIC
The VPIC has primary oversight responsibility of VPI
The VPIC will periodically provide VisionPoint's Board of Directors an update of VPI's activities, client performance and areas warranting attention
The VPIC may provide the DIO specific direction and instruction for execution

Execute assigned Strategic Plan action items

Create highly functioning partnership with all advisors, operations, compliance, executive leadership team and research firms providing advisory services
Provide leadership across the firm by demonstrating our values of Servant Leadership, Collaboration, Impact Maker, Hungry, Humble and Smart

Qualifications:

Experience as a DIO (preferred) and managing a team of CFA's

Significant experience working with high net worth families
Prior experience in a family office or investment consulting firm
Prior experience participating in client and prospect meetings
Deep knowledge of investment strategies, investment solutions, private markets and the competitive landscape of the wealth management industry
Bachelor's degree (Graduate degree preferred) in finance, accounting, economics or similar analytical/quantitative field with a CFA (required)
Proven capacity for independent thought and decision making
Keen focus on performance and results within a compliant framework
Professional demeanor with the utmost respect for confidential matters
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong interpersonal skills
Able to work independently and in a team environment
Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills
Thought leadership with a strong preference for operational excellence
Must be highly analytical and thorough
Must have ability to challenge the status quo and simultaneously provide creative solutions
Must have ability to lead the tactical execution of the strategic plan for the DIO practice
