POSITION SUMMARY:
As an Asset Transfer Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting TIAA Kaspick’s investment management and client relationship processes by owning the asset transfer process for new and transitioning clients and new gift activity, as well as providing analytical support for the portfolio management team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Responsible for the planning and execution of asset transfer plans for new and transitioning clients and new gift activity
- Opportunity to work across broad level of stakeholders (i.e., externally – clients and custodians, internally – investments, trading, transition team, client teams)
- Prepare and present detailed written asset transfer to clients
- Coordinate plan execution and manage associated deliverables across multiple internal departments, custodians, and clients
- Execute the transfer of assets and funds between client accounts
- Monitor and communicate asset transfer status and tracking relative to the plan and manage stakeholder expectations
- Interact with other team members and make recommendations on complex transfer matters
- Act as a facilitator for communications between the custodian, the client, and internal departments regarding asset transfers
- Troubleshoot and resolve asset transfer related issues
- Provide oversight of portfolio cash levels for meeting scheduled liabilities
- Conduct portfolio deviation analyses and research
- Prepare portfolio reviews and researches discrepancies
- Serve as a voting member of the Investment Committee
- Participate in process improvement initiatives within the department and company
QUALIFICATIONS:
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 1-3 years’ experience and/or exposure with portfolio accounting software systems
- Exposure to investment operations (i.e., securities and asset transfer methods)
Desired Skills:
- Desire to grow career within a diversified financial services company
- Experience with Advent APX experience preferred
- Familiarity with charitable asset and/or endowment management preferred
- Strong oral and written communications skills and client interaction skills
- High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines (i.e., comfort and experience working with numbers, processing large amounts of journal entries accurately)
- Successful experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
LOCATION: Redwood City/Redwood Shores, CA (in-market candidates desired, no relocation support provided).
