Product Strategy

We are growing the Product Strategy Platform in Budapest for our Equity franchise that plays a central role in offering clients and prospects connectivity to and information on the investment process ensuring an outstanding client experience. This team is responsible for a wide range of activities, including but not limited to maintaining fund data and analytics as well as production of marketing collateral and client reports. We seek an Analyst to join the Systematic Active Equity team.

Systematic Active Equity

Systematic Active Equity (SAE) is part of BlackRock's Systematic Investments Group alongside Systematic Fixed Income (SFI) and the Factor Based Strategies Group (FBSG). The tie that binds the approaches is a powerful combination of human insight and innovative technologies. Our systematic active equity team brings together a group of experienced investment professionals with diverse backgrounds spanning academia, data science finance and economics. For our clients, that results in a robust process backed by approximately 80 dedicated investment professionals supported by highly qualified researchers and strategists.

Role profile

Key Responsibilities:
  • Be part of a global team and work with colleagues in New York, San Francisco and London daily
  • Closely follow global markets and be up to date on events and movements
  • Perform analyses to help position funds/strategies
  • Prepare and maintain product pitchbooks, portfolio review decks and other marketing collateral, ensuring these meet compliance practices
  • Build and support recurring reporting templates using BlackRock technology
  • Assist with ad hoc requests (e.g. performance analytics / attribution, bespoke reporting)
  • Build and maintain database reports (Bloomberg, Morningstar, eVestment, FactSet)
  • Maintain and send daily internal reports (fund daily performance, etc.)
  • Update DDQs and RFPs with product and strategy level information
  • Help enhance existing processes with new insights/automation and developing standard methodologies across the global Product Strategy platform
  • Support and investigate technology and process options to scale and automate routine client service activities
  • Collaborate closely with other Product Strategy teams

You should have:
  • BA/BS degree with quantitative, finance or economics disciplines preferred
  • CFA, IMC and/or FRM or a desire to pursue these is welcome
  • 0-2 years of professional experience
  • Desire to learn about the Investment Management industry
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is crucial
  • Strong attention to detail, a sense of urgency around deadlines and an ability to multitask
  • High proficiency in Excel, with ability to manipulate data in a spreadsheet - knowledge of VBA is a plus
  • Basic level of experience with Python, or strong desire to learn it as you will use it regularly
  • Proficiency in Word and PowerPoint, with ability to create appealing slides for clients/investors
  • Analytical ability to synthesize information and summarize issues to efficiently combine outputs from different sources of technology/systems
