Cleared derivative and control function's main responsibilities cover oversight of utility across, clearing, margining and other process for cleared derivatives in the trade life cycle.

This role will involve internal face-off with CS business partners and relationship management/direction interaction on a daily-basis with our outsourced utility and service provider for Cleared Derivatives. As well as be fully accountable for the control environment and adherence to Credit Suisse Internal policies, including but not limited to the Funds Transfer Policy.
It will also involve cooperating with Front Office on any request for substitution of collateral pledged in order to ensure the optimal/the cheapest asset allocation for the firm. This function plays a very important role in the control environment built around the Bank's cleared margin activities
Margins
This is a critical function where accuracy and timeliness of margin postings is essential to ensure that every margin requirement (start of day & intra-day) coming from various CCPs (Centrally Cleared Counterparties) is covered.

Margins

- Responsible for handling critical, time-sensitive margin settlements with clients and exchanges/CCPs/brokers for cleared derivatives products across exchanges.
- Responsible to ensure margin calls with various exchanges are funded on time and clients' movements are processed accordingly
- Verify and Release of payments in accordance with Global Fund Transfer policy
- Investigate Nostro breaks and ensure Nostro reconciliations is completed in time
- Review and submission of regulatory report
- Ensure compliance with the Bank's Regulatory Reporting Framework
- Keep abreast with changes in regulatory landscape and its implication for risk management
- Managing margin requirements, collateral booking, reconciliations, interest processing, payment processing, associated Nostro break reporting, management and resolution
- Daily engagement with Utility, Internal Client Service Teams, Risk Managers and Inventory Management & External CCP's
- Collaboration - collaborate with other divisions and departments in implementing standards and processes to support effective control environment and management of Client, Credit Suisse and CCP exposure
- Daily management of all Key Performance Indicators/KRI's ensuring the department are in line with internal guidelines/policies, with affective communication and reported.
- A robust risk-focused unit which operates with an ethos of innovation, continual improvement and process development
- Continuous improvement of the current process and procedures
- Response to strategic change initiated by and affecting the departments
- Participate and coordinate in project initiatives and UAT

- Investment Banking experience of 3- 5 years in Operations in listed Derivative and OTC space
- Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting i.e. MBA/ CFA/ CA/ ICWA
- Proficient in Cleared Margin processes and trade life cycle flows
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and work in intraday cut off scenario
- Outstanding control attitude, analytical problem solving skills and high degree of accuracy is required
- Strong communication in written, verbal and presentation skills
- Able to build strong positive relationships across departments and vendor partners
- Flexibility to work across time zones depending on responsibility allocation
