Our client, a global asset management company, is seeking an Investment Analyst, Greater China Equities, based in Hong Kong Regional Office.
Responsibilities
- Conduct fundamental research, and company visits with particular focus on tech sector (semiconductor, hardware/software, telecom, internet, electronics, etc)
- Maintain detailed financial models, writing internal notes, generate stock ideas / buy / sell recommendations to fund managers
- Monitor key macro-economic events and news flows to form a view on the market
- Recommend investment ideas and participate in daily conference calls / meetings to present stock ideas to fund managers at both regional and global levels
- Assist in preparing marketing presentation materials to clients when required
Requirements
- University graduate with major in Finance / Accounting / Economics / related discipline. CFA, MBA or similar qualification and strong grounding in use of these techniques on the job
- At least 3 years of experience in analyzing companies, either buy or sell-side. Prior experience in Taiwan equities is a plus
- Believer in merits of fundamental research
- Strong communicator with excellent written and spoken English and Mandarin
- Should have worked in a multinational company and be independent
