EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

• Experience of working in financial services, ideally in a retail investment management firm;
• In-depth knowledge of a range of security types and asset classes;
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills;
• Knowledge of asset allocation concepts and methods;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• At least 2 years directly relevant experience to bring expert knowledge to a developing business;
• In possession, or working towards, a relevant professional qualification (e.g., CFA, IMC);
• Excel, VBA, Bloomberg;
• Any other programming languages (e.g., Python) a plus.

THE ROLE

This a new role for an Investment Analyst to become a key member of the team with the aim of helping grow and manage the investment products range. The team is a small but growing team, so you will be expected to actively participate in all aspects of the business with a 'can do' and 'roll your sleeves up' approach. With a major product development underway, you will be instrumental in the launch of an exciting new way investors are serviced in the UK. Your role will include the following:

• Assist with the selection and due diligence on listed shares and ETFs;
• Monitor investment products and portfolios;
• Produce periodic analysis and reporting. The role will also include setting up those reports;
• Build simple and complex investment strategies;
• Become the SME for everything related to the securities used by the business;
• Become the SME on performance calculations;
• Compile and maintain documentation of processes and policies;
• Propose ways to improve existing processes;
• Assist with Portfolio Management;
• Prepare reports for the Investment Committee and the Board of Directors;
• Write specifications for developers;
• Liaise with Project Manager, Business Analyst and the Operations team.
