About this role

Product Strategy Budapest for Multi-Asset Strategies & Solutions

BlackRock's Multi-Asset Strategies & Solutions (MASS) group includes income funds, tactical asset allocation, target date, target risk, and impact-investing products. Our team of over 300 investment professionals manages a range of pooled vehicles, model portfolios, and customized mandates for a diversified client base. Currently, MASS has over US$585 billion in assets under management, with a strong presence in San Francisco, New York, Princeton, London, Asia Pacific region, and a growing team in Budapest.
Our Product Strategists are a critical component of our investment success. They are product specialists who play a central role in offering clients and prospects connectivity to and information on the investment process. The MASS portfolio management teams rely on Product Strategy to convey their investment decisions to the market and our clients. We are building an MASS Product Strategy team in Budapest that serves as the innovation hub of the team's production of timely and effective marketing collateral, product presentations and response to client inquiries. This means working directly with one or more MASS teams globally, across locations such as London, New York, San Francisco and Hong Kong.

ROLE PROFILE

Key Responsibilities:

• Closely follow global markets and be up to date on events and movements
• Enhance existing processes with new ideas/automation
• Develop and apply database management tools
• Liaise with MASS Portfolio Management and other Product Strategy teams
• Perform analyses to help position funds/strategies
• Prepare and maintain portfolio review decks, ensuring these meet compliance practices
• Build and support recurring reporting templates using BlackRock technology
• Maintain product pitchbooks and other standard client collateral such as factsheets, updating central content libraries where necessary
• Assist with ad hoc requests (e.g. performance analytics / attribution, bespoke reporting)
• Update/draft RFPs and RFIs
• Gather and report flows and performance
• Build and maintain database reports (Morningstar, eVestment, FactSet)
• Maintain and send daily internal reports (cheat sheets, fund daily performance, etc.)

You should have:

• Desire to learn about the investment management industry
• 1-4 years of professional experience
• Experience with Python and/or VBA or other coding languages is a must
• Ability to work with complex and unstructured data sets
• High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint to manipulate data and create appealing slides for clients/investors
• Experience with Tableau is a plus
• Fluency in written and spoken English is essential; Italian/French are a plus
• Strong attention to detail, a sense of urgency around deadlines and an ability to multitask
• Ability to effectively combine outputs from different sources of technology/systems
• CFA, IMC and/or FRM or a desire to pursue these or other financial qualifications is welcome
