Investment Analyst

Job Title: Investment Analyst Background:  

Our firm is a Register Investment Advisor (RIA) that focuses exclusively on the institutional investment consulting space.  Our firm is seeking an experienced (3-5 years preferred), efficient, self-motivated investment analyst with a strong attention to detail to become part of our investment team.  

Responsibilities:

Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Assist in group efforts of investment manager search, due-diligence and selection
• Reviewing investment manager strategy, style and performance qualitatively and quantitatively
• Analyzing and evaluating investment markets, investment strategies and their impact on client portfolios
• Collaborate on projects with other analysts on ad hoc research projects
• Responding to request for proposals
• Developing investment policy statements
• Assist in developing capital market assumptions
• Performing asset allocation studies – including asset/liability studies
• Building / maintaining quantitative models
• Researching other related investment areas
• Writing due diligence reports and preparing client presentations
• Interacting with investment managers and clients as well as other analysts and consultants
• Contribute to group projects through assisting other analysts
• Additional responsibilities and tasks as necessary

    Qualifications:

• Proven ability to work with Excel and Powerpoint and other proprietary software programs
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Works well under pressure, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
• Ability to complete large amounts of work in short time frames
• Takes ownership for work, always ensuring standards and deadlines are met and keeping others informed and up-to-date
• Openly shares information and own expertise with colleagues
• Strong understanding of statistical concepts and portfolio construction
• Ability to contribute in a team-based environment
• Have the initiative, desire, drive and creativity to find solutions
• BA/BS degree in Finance, Business, Economics or related discipline is preferred
• Experience in an investments related field is preferred
• Experience with investment software is preferred – Morningstar Direct and eVestment Alliance
• Progress towards CFA designation and/or graduate degree in Business or Finance are preferred
