The role:
• Lead a high performing team of investment strategists to ensure a rigorous and disciplined investment process
• Develop the house view on the global economy and markets
• Be a key member of the investment committee
• Create tactical investment recommendations for discretionary portfolios
• Provide regular client and internal updates and insights on the global economy and markets
• Proactively promote the firms investment presence by presenting at conferences and publishing across a range of media
• Work with client-facing teams to support existing clients and attract new clients
The requirements:
• CFA qualification desirable
• Degree or Masters level in Economics, Finance or relevant subject
• 10 years of experience in a buyside strategy or portfolio manager role
• Excellent knowledge of macro-economics, as well as equity and fixed income markets
• Strong quantitative skills to enhance our macro and market models
• Ability to construct and present well considered views on the likely evolution of economic and market cycles and how different assets are expected to perform
• A passion for investing with insight and conviction to pursue superior investment outcomes
• Practical experience of tactical and strategic asset allocation in a multi-asset framework
• Impeccable communication and presentation skills with an ability to influence and to enhance confidence in the investment function
• Track record of writing highest quality investment research and commentary
• Strong leadership and people management skills
