Location: Central London

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 + Benefits

Role and Responsibilities:
  • Plan, write, edit and/or proofread the following content types: Corporate content, fund/strategy marketing materials , presentation writing , thought leadership, advertorials and social media
  • Identify content which could be presented as an infographic or schematic and work with marketing to create the visualisation
  • Liaise with sales, investment managers and communications to develop ideas and source relevant and interesting topics/themes
  • Support the wider business in researching, writing, editing and/or proofreading content
  • Ensure investment and strategy knowledge is current by attending relevant internal investment team meetings and keeping up to date with industry news
  • Be proactive in identifying current news stories or issues that could form the basis of thought leadership or other client/sales communications
  • Manage compliance sign-off process for all thought leadership, in accordance with internal procedures
  • Contribute to ad hoc business projects and requirements

Key Skills and Experience:
  • Strong investment knowledge, with a keen interest in investment products and financial markets
  • Experience with working across a range of distribution platforms, including traditional, digital and social media
  • Extensive experience of planning, writing and editing a variety of content types
  • Knowledge of social media best practices and experience in producing content for social media
  • A background in writing about investments within the financial services industry or journalism
  • Excellent research, writing and numeracy skills, with exposure to data visualisation and journalism
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise assignments, based on a broad understanding of the business requirements, to meet project deliverables within tight deadlines
  • Multi-media experience is desirable
  • Interest in current affairs and industry topics, including political and regulatory developments
  • Strategic thinker and team player
  • Innovative, creative and a self-starter
  • Attention to detail, particularly as it pertains to editing and proof reading
  • CFA/IMC/Finance qualification preferred

Additional Requirements:
  • Eligible to work in the UK without the need of visa support/sponsorship
  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
