What does the area do?

 

The successful candidate will be joining the Financial Planning & Analysis team that is part of the Finance area. They will have the benefit of being able to broaden their analytical skills by working closely with all departments. Acting as Business Partner, assisting in the preparation of comprehensive analysis of operational, financial, commercial and technical information to allow the evolvement of Company strategy.

 

What would be your main responsibilities?

 

We would expect that with great prioritisation skills you switch from task to task and understand what requires immediate attention at any given moment.

 

Your key responsibilities would include:

  • Produce weekly and monthly financial information within the different lines of business
  • Report daily and monthly results to Treasury team
  • Support different lines of business in strategic planning as well as ad-hoc analysis and projects
  • Support the preparation of the annual budget and forecasting processes
  • Monitor and report bank costs to the different areas managers (activity based cost)
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and year-end profit and loss, balance sheet reporting and reconciliations in line with internal and regulatory deadlines
  • Support the ExCo in the strategic planning process
  • Prepare business plans, cash flow analysis, KPIs, return on investment metrics, profit & loss impacts, scenarios and sensitivity analysis
  • Assist on continuing process improvement and automation of the areaMaking daily reconciliation, managing nostro accounts Guarantee the regulatory testing needs imposed to the Bank
  • Assist in the identification of needs in terms systems innovation and achievement of higher efficiency in payment processing and simulate, test and validate new implementations in the BackOffice system

 

What skills / experience do we need from you?

 

We are looking for the following education, knowledge and experience:

  • Finance based university education
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Financial Planning, Accounting & Control Department or related roles in the banking sector (wholesale banking is a plus)
  • Professional experience in preparing financial reports, budgets and forecasts
  • Advanced knowledge in Excel, PowerPoint. SQL, Kondor and Business Intelligence Tools will be a plus
