Position Summary: The Client Portfolio Manager will provide portfolio oversight and ongoing client service for institutional clients.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide portfolio updates, investment outlook, performance results - as frequently as possible to existing clients, broker-consultants, and sponsor firms.
  • Regular interface with investment management teamincluding attendance at investment meetings.
  • Must be conversant in discussing performance attribution, portfolio analysis and outlook for both Equity and Fixed Income Markets.
  • Serve as a Product Specialist supporting the Institutional and retail distribution teams. This may include overseeing RFP responses, creating product materials and acting as a liaison for requests coming to NWQ via all channels.
  • Serve as part of the client facing team, as support for the Nuveen Sales and Services team responding to requests from institutional clients as well request for information for NWQs products and services
  • Serving in a business development and product management role to promote NWQ products both within Nuveen and externally. Continued analysis of the market place, portfolios, performance and firm is required to develop and position both existing products and new strategies.
  • Approx. 40% domestic travel will ultimately be required of the candidate.

Qualifications:

Required:
  • Bachelor s d egree in Business (or related field)
  • Minimum of 5 years of industry experience
  • Familiarity with technology tools including Morningstar Direct, FactSet, Bloomberg, and the Microsoft Office suite.
  • FINRA Series 7 or ability to obtain in three months

Preferred:
  • CFA designation
  • Strong client service and sales orientation
  • Ability to establish and build effective working relationships with key clients, client firms, and internal departments
  • Effective ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects independently and simultaneousl y and adapt to changing priorities and timelines
  • A genuine team player that believes in the power of collaborative work and builds relationships with co-workers in a collegial and respectful manner
  • Strong Math and Financial Analysis skills
