Department Overview
The WFEGS Control Team is accountable for assessing and ensuring effective management of associated risks for WF EGS.

About the Role
You will support Enterprise Stakeholder Relations function comprising Community Relations and Communications across both India and Philippines as a Business Control Officer. This role requires a developed understanding of the functional areas, identifies areas of regulatory, financial, reputational and operational risk and mitigates efforts appropriately.

Responsibilities
  • Work with Enterprise Stakeholder Relations function and provides operational risk oversight and consulting for risk initiatives and remediation activities
  • Review frontline assessment strategies, methodologies, and analysis
  • Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of applicable policies, procedures, processes, systems and internal controls for financial reporting.
  • Conduct independent risk management reviews with primary focus on financial reporting, information security and third party risk management areas. Identify operational risk issues and assign risk ratings consistent with established policies and standards.
  • Consult with Enterprise Stakeholder Relations function partners and other independent risk management teams to develop corrective action plans
  • Collaborate with your peers and compliance teams to support regulatory review, audits and other compliance activities as developed and defined.
  • Manage and/or coordinate production of periodic operational risk performance reports for EGS Control senior management, including trend analysis, issue management and recommended strategies.
  • Perform and lead Risk Assessment including Evaluation of control design and effectiveness in accordance with relevant Wells Fargo Enterprise Policies and Procedures
  • Produce point of views on identified risk areas and credibly challenge frontline when gaps/deviations are identified that are in non-compliance with an existing policy or regulatory requirement
  • Adapt to change while prioritizing effectively and delivering high quality work in tight timeframes.
  • Analyze metrics produced by Enterprise Stakeholder Relations and articulate data trends, identify gaps and seek management action from the team


Market Skills and Certifications

Essential Qualifications
CA/CFA/CPA/ACCA OR M.B.A degree with overall 5-8 years of experience comprising 3+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: Stakeholder Relations, Accounting, Financial Reporting, Audit or operational risk management.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Community Services, Communications departments.
  • Ability to work both independently and within team environment.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to perform analysis, draw conclusions, and communicate recommendations to business leaders.
  • Prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with critical deadlines.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel.

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
