The Investor Relations Specialist will be responsible for representing our investment capabilities to clients, prospects, and internal partners for the private equity, private credit and hedge funds programs of 50 South Capital. The position will work closely with the investment teams in this endeavor, and also interact daily with the Relationship Managers of Northern Trusts Wealth Management and Institutional businesses. This position will work across many facets of the business, including product launches, custom programs, new business development and investor relations. Qualifications/ Experience
  • Experience serving in a new business development and/or investor relations role at a private equity firm or hedge fund, or has a background in research, evaluating and investing in alternatives on behalf of an institution, endowment, foundation, family office, or fund-of-funds investor.
  • At least 5 years of experience working in the alternatives investment industry Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Excellent client service skills with ability to build effective relationships and utilize strong business judgment
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • MBA and/or CFA highly desired
  • Highly responsive self-starter
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task effectively within a large organization
  • Solid industry network
