Gradient Investments, LLC (GI) is looking to add an Investment Analyst to the investment team. GI is nationally recognized as a top 50 fastest growing, fee-only SEC Registered Investment Advisor providing third-party money management services to independent advisors throughout the country. GI actively manages a series of investment portfolios across the risk spectrum. The Investment Analyst will work closely with portfolio management team as well as investment consultant, trading, and operations colleagues.
Job Description:
This position will be responsible for providing support to our investment team in the areas of; idea generation, selection, and ongoing management of Gradient Portfolios. This person will be responsible for analysis and selection of individual stocks as well as exchange traded funds across asset classes. The individual must also have the ability to communicate effectively with the internal management team, our independent investment advisors and the end consumer. This right candidate is detail oriented, analytical and has 3+ years of investment industry experience. CFA level 1 (with willingness to complete) combined with prior investment decision making experience is preferred.
Specific Accountabilities:
- Analyze and select individual stocks and exchange traded funds
- Conduct financial analysis, forecast, model, and value publicly traded companies
- Update, maintain, and improve existing analytical tools and processes
- The ability to effectively communicate investment information to internal colleagues and external partners is critical
- Work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast paced, system oriented environment.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Assist the trading, operations, and investment consultants as needed
