The Position:

Head of Client Relationship Management, Canada

The (Managing) Director, Head of Client Relationship Management, Canada will have overall responsibility for PSG's business in the Canadian market. He/she will directly drive results in the Institutional market and will have oversight responsibility for the Wealth Management segment of the market, and will additionally own the overall strategy of PSG's business in Canada, including product development, acquisitions and partnerships.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead Institutional sales and service for the Canadian market, as well as drive overall strategy across channels in Canada.
  • Define and execute a sales approach, which includes defining targets, focus channels, prospective investors and to directly conduct outreach and follow-up to these targets.
  • Oversight of the Wealth Management marketing efforts (managing a dedicated resource focused on these channels). This is a newer focus for PSG, therefore a significant level of strategic thinking is required. The successful candidate will be expected to lead this effort.
  • Success will ultimately be measured by a combination of sales and relationship development in the Institutional market and business development and strategic thinking about PSG's broader business in Canada. This could include potential acquisitions, product development, distribution partnerships, the Wealth Management market and entry into new channels.

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Economics, Finance, or related field. A graduate degree and/or CFA designation a plus.
  • 8 - 10 years of institutional sales experience in Canadian market. Experience with a variety of institution-types (corporate, insurance, public, banking), a plus.
  • Proven track record (asset raising and client service). Knowledge of and relationships across the entire Canadian market (LPs, consultants, etc.,).
  • Deep investment knowledge with a proven ability to understand and communicate a variety of investment-types (equity, debt, hedge funds).
  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage a business, including people management and P&L ownership.
  • Strong strategic thinker with a proven ability to execute on strategic initiatives.
  • Strong change management skills.
  • Proactive in identifying new products and/or strategies for development.
  • Strong ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Able to present ideas with precision, passion and conviction.
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic and results orientation.
  • Organized, thorough and detail oriented.
  • Ability to collaborate with individuals at all levels of a high performing organization.

Travel:
  • Approximately 30-40% travel required.
