A London-based credit hedge fund are looking to hire an exceptional business development candidate with contacts in the US. The firm plan to kick on after a year of strong performance, by growing from the $200 millions assets under management where they currently sit to over the $500 million mark relatively quickly.

They specialise in public and private credit, strategies they have identified as being extremely relevant to the American family office, wealth management and intermediaries' space.

Thus, they are interested in speaking to candidates who have experience in credit, macro or distressed hedge funds and have recently raised money from American clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive asset growth in the firm's core investor markets: via US family offices, wealth management, intermediaries (wholesale / retail).
  • Manage the full sales cycle from identifying prospects to the final close.
  • Provide excellent relationship management to exisiting and new investors, helping with any queries on the portfolio
  • Take charge of the marketing strategy and produce high quality materials
  • Deliver exceptional pitches to the target investor base and attend new client meetings.
  • Identify key networking events which the firm can leverage from.

Candidate Requirements
  • Rolodex across the US wholesale / retail channels.
  • Experience raising for either public or private credit strategies for a hedge fund.
  • Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment.
  • MBA / CFA preferred.
  • An entrepreneurial mind-set, but able to work as part of a wider team.
  • Excellent communication and literacy skills.
  • Strong Microsoft office skills/
  • Keen interest in credit and the latest financial news.
