KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Associate in Securitization in Risk Assurance - for our practice.

Responsibilities:
  • Support securitization transaction offerings of asset-backed securities (ABS) and other asset classes including: Review data files against loan documentation for accuracy, analyze collateral pool underlying the transaction, develop complex financial cash flow models to reverse engineer the transaction structure including payment rules and trigger effects, review transaction offering documents for accuracy, and prepare client deliverables (agreed-upon procedures reports) and working papers supporting our findings
  • Maintain financial risk management advisory and audit engagements related to financial instrument valuations and cash flow analysis of fixed income, structured products, technical accounting applications, and whole loan portfolios
  • Analyze and assess risk management activities related to investment portfolios, liquidity sources, accounting changes, and new regulations related to Dodd Frank and SEC Regulation AB
  • Review operational risk management and internal control policies and procedures including GAP analysis
  • Perform compliance testing related to various client financing agreements with investment banks, issuers, regulators, government agencies, and investors

Additional Responsibilities for Senior Associate:
  • Serve as a liaison between clients and engagement team members
  • Execute against engagement work programs developed by managers and directors
  • Mentor associates, new hires, and interns and supervise them on engagements

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of one year of relevant experience in the Financial services industry with strong understanding of financial products, fixed income, and structured credit, preferably with experience in securitization
  • Bachelor's degree preferably in Finance, Financial Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, or a related major from an accredited college/university, Advanced degree and/or pursuit of Chartered Financial Analyst or Certified Public Accountant designation is a plus
  • Solid attention to detail and the ability to multi-task many activities, excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on critical analytical and independent thinking, while working within a team framework
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and data management skills, modeling experience (using Excel or Intex) related to structured finance is highly preferred
  • Travel may be up to 80-100%
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future

Additional Qualifications for Senior Associate:
  • A minimum of three years of related work experience with demonstrated supervisory experience
  • Strong working knowledge of loan documentation, financial modeling, discounted cash flow valuations
  • Well-established understanding of business dynamics and operations
