As part of Finance Strategic Initiatives and Change Management team, deliver Finance consulting and project execution services to Head Office Finance teams. The role plans, directs and coordinates activities of assigned data, business process and technology projects driven by or impacting Finance functions. The role is responsible for ensuring project goals or objectives are accomplished within approved timeframe, scope and budget. Projects may include:
- Finance Transformation: People, Process, Technology,
- Finance Shared Services and Target Operating Model,
- Finance Regulatory Initiatives
What will you do?
- Participate in key aspects of a project from: scoping, analyzing, developing solutions, reviewing deliverables, from executing to implementing change
- Engage with Finance line teams on all aspects of the project lifecycle, from analysis through design, testing, change readiness and implementation
- Engage with various IT groups throughout the project lifecycle, including collaboration at key stages, e.g. UAT issue management and issue resolution
- Responsible for all related business deliverables including business requirements, stakeholder analysis, functional specification, testing approach, use/test cases and change readiness planning
- Raises and tracks issues and conflicts, removes barriers, resolves minor project issues and escalates them to management and / or stakeholders when required
- Acts as the knowledge bridge through the identification, analysis and provision of advice to other team members, senior management, business leaders, and functional leads.
- Responsible for building and maintaining a repository of reusable requirements documentation to support future initiatives
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years' experience advising and delivering Finance function solutions, ideally in a management consulting environment
- Very organized, strong time management and the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple projects.
- Demonstrated proven impact and influence skills to engage both business and cross-functional team members.
- Relevant experience in leading meetings and presentations
Nice-to-have
- Financial designation (CPA, CFA),
- Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) Institute
- Relevant experience in change management and / or project management; ability to deliver the full cycle of project management accountabilities
- Experience in Finance processes. Eg. processes within month end closing cycle and reporting cycle
