As an AVP you will be expected to assist and independently run with the transactions and lead end to end approval process. You will be required to analyze, help get to the right structure and finally approve transactions within existing limits or delegated credit authority
Key Responsibilities would be:
- Performing fundamental credit risk analysis on real estate transactions - analysis of real estate projects (commercial / residential - completed properties as well as under construction); real estate corporates; assigning internal credit ratings on counterparties based in Asia Pacific.
- Participating / conducting due diligence.
- Preparing and presenting analysis in written format.
- Communicating the rating rationale and risk appetite to internal stakeholders.
- Monitor market, regulatory, macro-economic and political developments; assess their impact on credit quality of counterparties.
- Liaising with Credit Risk Control and Risk Analytics and Reporting departments to ensure that the exposures are adequately reflected in the risk systems and MIS gets timely generated
- Performing general problem solving of any issues arising across Credit Suisse in relation to counterparties in the portfolio
- Liaising with Legal department to ensure identified risks are adequately addressed in the legal documentation and setting credit terms in the legal documentation
- Working / liaising with global real estate credit team to ensure consistency (as appropriate) of approvals, methodologies and adherence to firm's real estate risk management policies and procedures.
- Working closely with the Front Office deal structuring teams, assess proposed transactions within the context of the transaction structure to ensure structural risks are accurately identified and adequately mitigated, handling end-to-end credit process and ensuring the final decision is timely taken.
You Offer
- You hold a university degree, preferably in finance, engineering, mathematics, physics or economics
- You are an MBA or hold professional qualifications such as CA or CFA.
- You have 3 to 7 years work experience in credit analysis /review of real estate transactions in India or in Asia Pacific
- You possess strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent writing skills
- Knowledge of real estate industry, regulations, appraisal of real estate properties, CMBS, RMBS transactions, etc.
- Good negotiation skills

- Familiarity with corporate credit analysis
