What is the opportunity?

In this role you will be responsible for the proactive management of Banks, Brokers and Exchanges (BB&E's) highest revenue generating and most complex client relationships, achieving retention and growth objectives by providing exceptional client service and successfully achieving cross-sell/up-sell of BB&E products and referrals on other opportunities. In addition, you will work closely with the DRM on the accounts focusing on retention and cross sell/up-sell of BB&E Core Products, as well asfor retention of 100% of client base while growing BB&E revenue.

What will you do?

Planning
  • Develop and implement sales plan for assigned clients - either independently or in collaboration with Managing Director, Account Management/DRM

Relationship Building
  • Identify, develop and actively maintain relationships with key client contacts and proactively work at extending relationship contacts beyond the day-to-day touch points
  • Target information sharing with clients on a regular schedule, and be the escalation point contact for issues of impact to the client relationship while leverage off other RBC client touch points

Sales and Sales Support
  • Co-ordinate implementation of successful sales including liaising and working with client support teams
  • Recommend and present pricing to pricing committee including communication of pricing to client and ensure receipt of acknowledged/signed pricing (where applicable)
  • Handle credit activities as required and manage escalations from AML/Compliance

Networking
  • Maintain and grow RBC network to support client needs and build credibility with service partners
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to Account Managers and client service managers, as well as understand and embrace change in support of bank strategies and new initiatives with a commitment to enhance client fulfillment

Results Management
  • Establish performance standards with clients and co-ordinate formal service level reviews
  • Maintain current client profile information and effectively manage action items from client visits/conference calls.
  • In collaboration with Director, Account Management/DRM review profitability and account plans on a quarterly basis (or more frequent if business requires)


What do you need to succeed?

Must-have
  • 2-5 years relevant industry experience managing large, complex clients with a global footprint
  • Undergraduate degree
  • Exceptional client facing skills including negotiation and influencing at a very senior level
  • Strong account management and relationship building skills

Nice-to-have
  • Obtained or in process of completing industry related courses (i.e., CFA. CSC)
