As an Investment specialist, you will have an opportunity to learn about our investment process, enhance your operational and analytical skills, and provide internal support to the advisor and AFA. This role supports the investment process from ideation to implementation, offering a diverse range of opportunities for engaging work and professional growth. Our mission is to maintain the integrity of new and existing client portfolios consistent with the proper recommendations to help our clients meet their long-term goals.
This role provides client relationship support through interacting directly with the advisor, acting as a client liaison to help both answer questions as well as resolve issues, and perform other practice management tasks as needed. This position will also assist clients and financial advisors in managing, gathering and analyzing information pertaining to their finances and investments.

Responsibilities

  • As a key member of Investment committee, you will be responsible from ideation to implementation investment strategies for portfolio allocation and rebalancing
  • Ability to assess client financial situations and analyze portfolios
  • Implement initial and subsequent asset allocations trades
  • Reconcile strategy models
  • Prepare proposals, and gather information in preparation for Advisor client/prospect meetings
  • Trading and Money Movement
  • Correspond with clients to handle investment related service issues
  • Additional projects, as requested by Financial Advisor

Required Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have

  • Ability to multi-task & perform well under pressure

  • Proactive and inquisitive about markets, financial theory, investment management industry
  • Ability to adhere to rules and regulations as stated and required by advisor, Ameriprise Financial and FINRA
  • Ability to support and provide guidance for compliance within the advisors practice
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree in Business required; preferably Finance;
  • MBA and/or CFP/CFA preferred;
  • Five or more years of analytical and research experience in an investment related field;
  • Solid knowledge of financial investing techniques; knowledge and familiarity with the major markets. Basic understanding of pensions, defined contribution plans and non-profits.
  • FINRA Series 7, 63 and/or 66 required
  • Morningstar, Thomson Reuters, Salesforce, Vestmark experience preferred along with proficiency in Microsoft Excel
