Job Title: Associate, Strategic Investments Group

Role Summary:

BGC Partners is a leading global brokerage company. The Strategic Investments Group is responsible for delivering BGC's strategic and growth agenda through sourcing, evaluating and executing M&A transactions for BGC globally. The Associate is expected to be involved in all aspects. This is an exciting opportunity to gain valuable M&A experience on the principal side and be directly involved in live transactions.

Applicants should have 1-2 years relevant experience, a strong academic background studying at a top tier university and be able to demonstrate a strong interest in M&A and Financial Services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor market developments, producing market updates and memos on relevant industry M&A
• Screen early stage M&A prospects
• Maintain the team deal trackers and pipeline
• Contribute to internal investment papers and presentations for Senior Management
• Assist with financial models and valuations
• Co-ordinate the due diligence process with internal departments and external advisors
• Assist with other key work streams during M&A execution

• Analytical and numerate
• Attention to detail and diligent
• Good communication, especially through written presentation
• Organised and able to cope in a fast-paced environment
• Some basic financial accounting knowledge - candidate expected be enrol on the CFA Program
• Clear interest in M&A and investing
