Job Title: Associate, Strategic Investments Group
Role Summary:
BGC Partners is a leading global brokerage company. The Strategic Investments Group is responsible for delivering BGC's strategic and growth agenda through sourcing, evaluating and executing M&A transactions for BGC globally. The Associate is expected to be involved in all aspects. This is an exciting opportunity to gain valuable M&A experience on the principal side and be directly involved in live transactions.
Applicants should have 1-2 years relevant experience, a strong academic background studying at a top tier university and be able to demonstrate a strong interest in M&A and Financial Services.

Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor market developments, producing market updates and memos on relevant industry M&A
- Screen early stage M&A prospects
- Maintain the team deal trackers and pipeline
- Contribute to internal investment papers and presentations for Senior Management
- Assist with financial models and valuations
- Co-ordinate the due diligence process with internal departments and external advisors
- Assist with other key work streams during M&A execution
- Analytical and numerate
- Attention to detail and diligent
- Good communication, especially through written presentation
- Organised and able to cope in a fast-paced environment
- Some basic financial accounting knowledge - candidate expected be enrol on the CFA Program
- Clear interest in M&A and investing
