The Brookfield Infrastructure Group is one of Brookfield Asset Management's primary operating groups. The Infrastructure Group operates and manages assets owned through its private funds and public listed entity, Brookfield Infrastructure Partners (BIP). Our portfolio of assets are primarily in the utilities, transport, energy and communication infrastructure sectors, located in North and South America, Europe and Asia Pacific.

Position Summary:

The Senior Analyst will join the Financial Planning and Analysis team within Brookfield's Infrastructure business group. It is a highly visible position that presents the foundation, guidance and exposure towards a successful and challenging career in finance. The Senior Analyst will be involved in a number of tasks, including but not limited to: budgeting and financial planning, treasury and liquidity forecasting, the annual business planning process, quarterly supplementary reporting and various ad-hoc analyses. There is also the opportunity to provide leadership and mentorship to co-op students and new hires.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare consolidated financial forecasts, track operating results of subsidiaries spanning multiple segments and geographies and articulate findings to key stakeholders
  • Prepare consolidated liquidity forecasts and various treasury deliverables to assist with liquidity planning, capital markets activity and capital allocation/structure
  • Compile, analyze and evaluate key operating metrics across businesses and operating segments
  • Prepare publicly disclosed supplementary financial reports on a quarterly and annual basis, providing an overview of operational and financial performance of the business
  • Assist in preparation of various analyses and reports for senior management and the board of directors to support business decision making
  • Support Brookfield's annual business planning process, including in-depth review of operating company models/long-term assumptions and preparation of consolidated financial model and management presentations
  • Ad-hoc analyses and presentations on platform financial and operational results, as well as supporting any special projects


Requirements:
  • Three to five (3-5) years of work experience in an accounting function, with a track record of high performance
  • Advisory or Corporate Finance experience at the Big Four or FP&A at a leading organization would be an asset
  • A recognized professional accounting designation (CPA, CA) and intent to or pursuing a CFA would be an asset
  • Very proficient in Excel, including ability to model and use advanced functions
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and is a team player, willing to always support the team
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and mentality
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbally and written)
  • Self-motivated and pro-active, with respect to both managing workload and professional development
