Working as a 'middle office analyst', the hire will learn and develop in a role that has a broad remit. The focus is on data analysis, relationship management and project work (as opposed to standard daily BAU line tasks), hence why it is very important to hire somebody that is bright, that has solid stakeholder management skills and that has a passion to analyse, crunch numbers and solve problems. Work that is carried out in this role extends beyond daily reporting - the hire will constantly analyse data/reports and present back to senior management. This is not a role for somebody that is looking to sit behind their computer all day. The position has become available as the previous graduate analyst has moved internally in to a risk management position.
The role supports anybody that is interested to gain additional qualifications (for example CFA, IMC etc.) and/or strengthen their technology skills. On the latter, the hire can use their own initiative to create change and/or ask to be put on important infrastructure development projects.
Candidates must have an excellent academic profile, with a 2:1/first class Russell Group degree preferred where possible. We are looking for a relevant degree (economics, finance, accounting, maths etc.) and/or a passion to working in a front office support function. We prefer that candidates will either be a fresh 2019 graduate, or a 2018 graduate that is looking for a career change.
