The Energy Finance Group: Oil & Gas division of Prudential Private Capital is seeking an Analyst for its three-year analyst program. The position is located in Dallas, TX.

As an Oil & Gas Investment Analyst, you would work on a small deal team responsible for financial analysis, portfolio monitoring and marketing, while gaining exposure to the oil and gas industry from large, public companies to smaller, privately-held companies. You will learn investing private placements of senior debt and investing junior capital, while gaining valuable experiences. Many of our analysts move on to attend top business schools and have received a variety of opportunities within the industry at the close of the three-year Investment Analyst program.

Analysts have the opportunity to develop analytical skills, business perspective, and an understanding of the energy industry. The Analysts partner with small investment teams in which each member makes an integral contribution to the business.

Job Responsibilities include: writing internal credit memos; industry and company research; comparable analysis; financial modeling and credit analysis; transaction and due diligence support; portfolio and credit monitoring; communication with portfolio companies; and preparation of marketing materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of science degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance or other quantitative subjects
• Excellent analytical and accounting skills
• Familiarity with the capital markets (knowledge of debt and equity security terms and valuation methodologies)
• Strong writing, interpersonal and communication skills
• Financial services analysis related experience is a plus
• Participation in the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) program
