Job Summary: Foundation and Institutional Advisors (FIA) provides Outsourced Chief Investment Officer (OCIO) services to institutional clients throughout the United States. FIA offers world-class investment management combined with program oversight, customized program design, global custody and client servicing. With approximately $16B AUM, OCIO serves over 400 clients including: defined benefit plans, foundations, endowments and healthcare organizations. The Senior Portfolio Manager is primarily responsible for overseeing the delivery of OCIO investment services primarily to pension plans but will also work with foundation and endowment clients. This individual will manage key pension clients and also be a resource for other Portfolio Managers within FIA practice as a subject matter expert. The Senior Portfolio Manager will work closely with company staff which may include corporate Treasurers, CFO and senior human resources personnel on the creation, implementation, and oversight of complex, multi-asset class investment programs. This position may be located in San Francisco, Seattle or Denver. Major Duties: 1.Providing clients with investment program solutions advisory services, developing an understanding of clients unique needs and coordinating the design, implementation and monitoring of a customized, open architecture, investment program across traditional and alternative investments to meet those needs. 2.Communicate with clients and internal team members on a regular basis, anticipating and responding to issues and developments, researching issues and opportunities, developing new ideas, and discussing investment program solutions capabilities. 3.Share best practices with the rest of the team and ensure a consistent delivery across the pension client base. 4.Coordination of asset allocation, rebalancing, portfolio construction and similar analytical exercises working closely with internal teams and team members. 5.Coordination with dedicated pension risk strategists to build appropriate strategies for clients. 6.Interpret economic, market and business information in order to recognize, understand and communicate market environment. 7.Assist in new product development and marketing. Work with product, research, and marketing to develop and identify new investment ideas or opportunities. 8.Involved in on-going marketing of our services and business development efforts 9.Cross sell or refer company products and services to existing clients, when appropriate. 10.Proactively advise partners of issues that may affect clients/prospects in either a positive or negative way. 11.splay a high level of teamwork toward achieving business unit and team goals. Be a positive influence in the group. Qualifications: 1.A minimum of 10 years of investment expertise including extensive experience with retirement plans, asset allocation and a variety of investment strategies. 2.Extensive knowledge regarding traditional and alternative investments in an open-architecture framework, as well as related issues that affect investments (economy, markets, finance). 3.Proven success developing and delivering integrated investment services to sophisticated clients. 4.Ability to communicate complex investment solutions to a variety of constituents with varying levels of investment knowledge. 5.Technology orientation and proficiency is required to coordinate analysis of client portfolios and recommendations for improvements. 6.Written and interpersonal presentation skills are important for ongoing client interaction, team engagement and new business participation. 7.MBA/CFA/CAIA/CIMA or other relevant investment credentials preferred.
