POSITION SUMMARY:

The Research Associate is responsible for assisting various Research Analysts in their primary equity sector and industry coverage. The associate will gather data, construct models, monitor holdings and prepare materials to facilitate investment meetings. This person will also support the client service team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

The following duties are generally representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.
  • Participate in investment team meetings
  • Construct financial models
  • Analyze company and industry trends
  • Conduct financial analysis
  • Attend industry conferences
  • Perform performance attribution
  • Prepare research reports and industry presentations

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, in individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and/or Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or Economics from an accredited university
  • MBA and/or CFA required
  • 5-7 years post-bachelors experience in an equity research role or investment banking role.
Interpersonal/Communication/Language Skills:
  • Excellent team player
  • Strong work ethic and intellectual curiosity
  • High degree of initiative
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Mathematical/Analytical/Reasoning Skills:
  • Strong organizational, analytical and financial skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Intermediate accounting and finance skills
Technical:
  • Excellent computer skills with MS Office Suite (advanced MS Excel)
  • Bloomberg
  • Factset
