BlackRock's Fixed Income San Francisco based CorePM group is hiring a Multi-Sector and Rates Portfolio Manager who will be responsible for a wide array of portfolio management responsibilities for Systematic Active and Index funds, including ETFs. The PM will help drive the development and implementation of new tools, technology and reporting for enhancement of the PM process, automation and efficiency. The successful candidate will work closely with Government, MBS, EM and Credit portfolio managers. Additionally, the successful hire will form close relationships with product strategists and other stakeholder groups across the firm, including iShares, Portfolio Analytics Group (PAG) and Risk and Quantitative Analysis Group (RQA).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the construction and management of multi-sector and rates portfolios with daily flows including order raising, managing guideline constraints, corporate actions, compliance resolution, cash management and hedging.
  • Enhance and streamline portfolio management processes within the Rates and Multi-Sector teams and across the broader CorePM platform.
  • Monitor operating risk and ensure adherence to regulatory compliance.
  • Support PM desks in management of all fixed income funds, including continued investment process refinement and implementation / consistency of best practices.
  • Produce daily, periodic and ad hoc reporting required by the investment team.
  • Ownership of strategic project and ad hoc analysis related to our platform.

Skills & Qualifications:
  • BA/BS required; progress towards CFA a plus.
  • Knowledge of fixed income markets and an ability to recognize subtleties of different issue types / structures.
  • Ability to grasp quantitative concepts and its application to portfolio management.
  • Demonstrated ability implementing technology solutions related to portfolio management, trading and data analytics. Python/SQL capabilities preferred.
  • Effective team player able to work with other team members and develop relationships with partner groups across BlackRock.
  • Experience with Aladdin tools and applications; knowledge of Aladdin data sources a plus.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a sharp attention to detail.
