What is the opportunity?
As a member of the Group Risk Management (GRM) Leadership Development Program, you will support various GRM teams on core Risk Management priorities with the goal of improving departmental efficiency and effectiveness. The program will offer challenging assignments, with an opportunity to develop your GRM knowledge and accelerate your Leadership capabilities. This team will form a pipeline of diverse talent for future succession planning within GRM. All work will be delivered in accordance with established timelines and in compliance with RBC policies. Rotations will focus on various GRM business segments and offer exposure to unique and challenging work.
This New Graduate Program will offer Analysts the opportunity to complete four rotations over the course of two years while they build a breadth of Risk knowledge and gain practical experience. Specific goals and responsibilities will be outlined in advance for each rotation, based on current business needs.
What will you do?
-Financial Statement Analysis
-Credit Analysis; establish borrower risk ratings; prepare Risk Assessment Framework (RAF)
-Adjudicate Credit from Corporate Banking and Commercial Banking
-Develop and maintain financial models
-Conduct industry research - quantitative and qualitative
-Ensure trends in Market Risk measures are identified & captured and monitor exposure against policy
-Reporting - provide concise reporting within the Fixed Income, FX, Commodities and Equity Markets maintain an up to date view of market dynamics, current events, areas of volatility and potential concern.
What do you need to succeed?
- Must be in the final year of a Masters degree, preferably MBA, MA, MS, MMF. MFE
- Strong quantitative & analytical skills
- Proven Leadership skills
- The ability to deal with ambiguity and change
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with strong presentation skills and Business Acumen
- Highly skilled with Excel, including financial modeling, VBA,
- Strong software development skills and experience in applying finance-related computational techniques (MatLab, VBA, C/C++, SAS)
- Must be able to accommodate a 6 month rotation in Toronto

Nice-to-have
-Actively pursuing CFA designation
-Financial Risk Mgmt (FRM) Designation
-Business experience or Financial Institution experience, with Operational Risk, Market or Credit Risk.
-Knowledge of ICAAP and stress testing
