Investment Research Analyst

Responsibilities:

• Study and research fundamentals of targeted sectors and companies
• Coverage includes but is not limited to Greater China and the US
• Bulk of focus will be on public equities but may also extend to debt, CB and private at times
• Conduct on-site company visits, and attend conferences
• Prepare financial models and valuation analysis
• Prepare company research analysis and reports. Identify market opportunities and develop investment recommendations
• Communicate your views and recommendations to other team members, PMs, CIO and other relevant parties
• Junior analysts may provide support to and learn from one or more senior analysts
• Keep all stakeholders update on your assigned sectors & companies
• Other ad-hoc research and analysis duties which may relate to market or company drivers such as macroeconomics, geopolitics, and regulation

Requirements:

• BS, MBA or other graduate credentials will be considered
• CFA a plus but not required
• 2+ years of experience in the financial industry (buy-side, sell-side, investment banking, etc)
• Excellent financial modelling, valuation and analytical skills
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in English. Fluency in Mandarin Chinese is a plus but not required
• Inquisitive, organized, able to work independently and as part of Research / Investment team
