The Role Responsibilities

DIRECT FOCUS:

• Direct responsibility for the volume, revenue, profit and other productivity related KPIs on WMPS Products
• Drive and manage business operations related to 'Student File Operation' (student overseas education programme) from product management point of view.
• Engage with all internal and external stake holders to achieve target customer activation levels.
• Continuous engagement with front line staff in driving products within the scope.
• Review and recommend the product promotion strategy applicable for the country ensuring maximum value to the customers.
• Manage all direct costs associated with WMPS Products and related business operations.
• Manage day-to-day financial and key indicators, conduct required analytic studies and ensure required compliance level at all times.

OPERATIONAL RISK MANAGEMENT & ASSURANCE

• To ensure that the Operational Risk Management and Assurance frame work is practiced at all times as per the applicability.
• Handling risk items stemming out from key Risk Management forums as appropriate and ensure actionable arising from these forums are tracked for completion under the guidance from relevant stake holders.
• To ensure active participation in training programs conducted on Operational Risk and that all staff in the unit are trained on Operational Risk aspect.
• To work closely with the Unit and Business Operational Risk manager to identify and resolve key risks for the products within the scope.
• Ensure that governance aspect related to the 'Student File Operation' is attended to and managed in compliant to the applicable policies and procedures at all times.
• To ensure that products within the scope are ready to meet audit requirements at all times.
• The job holder must ensure he/ she is fully aware of all the policies and procedures issued in relation to KYC and money laundering prevention (AML) along with other applicable policies and procedures. .

ADMINISTRATIVE AND OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Managing all analytics and MISs related to the job scope.
• Ensure all related operational processes / DOIs / SLAs are updated.
• Administrating all marketing activities related to the promotional strategy.

• Responsible conduct during any emergency that may have occurred

Our Ideal Candidate

• Minimum of 3 years experience in banking / or related industry.
• Preferably a Degree Holder in any related discipline.
• Good interpersonal skills in managing external and internal stake holders.
• Knowledge and awareness on Treasury Products and related operations.
• Any specialized qualification related to financial analysis would be an added advantage. (ex. CFA)
• ACI or CBSL qualification to act as the back-up Dealer would be an added advantage.
• Strategic thinker and a self starter.
