Our Analytics & Sales Operations team is a critical resource to enable our entire organization and to provide the best service to our clients. Analytics & Sales Operations provide actionable analytics, consistent and explainable performance metrics and useful, timely business insights, and empowering them through sales enablement and training.

Data-informed decision making is key to our continued global growth. We're looking for an experienced business leader who is inspired and prepared to strengthen and scale our analytics and sales operations enterprise.

As the Head of Analytics and Sales Operations, you will lead the team focused on driving business insights and operational excellence to increase revenue, sales productivity, and efficiency. You are a strategic, metrics-driven operations expert, who will utilize analytics methodologies and principles to make a critical impact on our growth and sales success, as well as scale for growth through world-class sales operations, enablement and training.

Responsibilities include:
  • Collaborate with leadership (including Marketing, Relationship Management and Product) to create the next chapter of SVB's sales operations & analytics impact: create the vision, strategy, roadmap and communications for SVB's Analytics & Sales Operations
  • Lead a high-performing group of analytics and sales operations and enablement professionals. Provide guidance and mentorship on best practices for data consumption, modeling, and analytics that help convert data into insights and actionable decisions
  • Partner with cross-functional teams on key strategic, organizational and operational projects to drive revenue, sales productivity and operational efficiency
  • Evangelize data-informed decision making and proactively identify analytics needs across the global enterprise
  • Build a global forecasting and planning process and cadence to ensure achievement of revenue and key operating metrics
  • Analyze the health of the business to drive operational improvements as the company grows, scales, and evolves quickly
  • Identify key insights to accelerate growth and productivity, build and own all sales dashboards
  • Contribute to the definition of SVB's standards and best practices for BI and predictive analytics
  • Partner across SVB on internal business intelligence data initiatives, and communicate these priorities to stakeholders, as well as guide the predictive analytics roadmap
  • Identify, assess and prioritize critical data-driven and data-dependent projects
  • Keep up to date with emerging analytics, insights and data management technologies and methodologies, and assess their relevance to our products and strategy
  • Oversees SVB's sales training and enablement programs to ensure maximum effectiveness of the sales force
  • Leadership for our associate training program, its curriculum and roadmap

Qualifications
  • Sales Operations and Business Analytics expertise: at least 10 years of professional experience in sales operations and analytics or similar field; 5+ years of experience leading an analytics or data science team. Advanced experience in the software development lifecycle, both waterfall and agile.
  • Proven experience leading strategic design, delivery and governance of major cross-functional business efforts enabling sales performance through analytics, sales operations, sales enablement and sales training, preferably in banking or financial services
  • Authentic leader who is able to motivate a broad team of direct/indirect staff
  • Growth Mindset and the proven ability to leverage analytics to make connections
  • Driven to meet ambitious targets in a very fast-paced, agile environment. Adept at managing conflicting or competing priorities, and finite resources
  • Acumen to dive deep into details of the data to ensure quality, while maintaining the overall project objectives. Always cognizant of SVB's global analytics priorities
  • Ability to understand complex issues and develop meaningful analysis and recommendations for executive leaders. With confidence, bring a unique and informed POV to leaders
  • Collaborative style: proactively share and elicit information with colleagues and peers to form recommendations
  • Strong written, verbal, listening, and visual communication skills requisite
  • Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree preferred (MBA and / or CFA desired
