Working with its partners, the WCB promotes safe and healthy workplaces, facilitates recovery and return to work, provides compassionate and supportive compensation services for workers and employers, and ensures responsible financial stewardship.

Are you a Chartered Financial Analyst with strategic level experience managing investment portfolios including initiating and developing strategy recommendations, liaising with external investment consultants to analyze and make recommendations, and executing all actions associated with the portfolios? Do you have advanced knowledge of performance measurement and asset allocation processes, the ability to interpret and analyze complex financial/statistical reports and models, and the skills needed to communicate complex information into plain language for reports and presentations?

WCB is currently seeking a Chief Investment Officer to join our leadership team!

Working closely with the Chief Financial Officer, the Chief Investment Officer, with one direct report, is responsible for the overall management of the WCB’s Accident Fund ($1.7 billion) and Retirement Plan ($216.8 million), and for providing support to other areas of the organization with respect to investments.
