The Associate Credit Analyst will work with the Senior Analyst Team to perform fundamental research on Fixed Income securities.In addition,the candidate will be required to work on numerous special data base management projects including the development of portfolio management and quantitative tools.

The Associate Credit Analyst will
- Work closely with the Senior Analyst Team to create and maintain financial models on companies within the portfolios.
- Be responsible for helping senior analysts create initiation reports on new holdings within the portfolios and to assure that they are updated when appropriate.
- Be expected to help both the Portfolio Managers and the Director of Research with project work related to the investment decision making process.
- Be given the opportunity to co-initiate new investment recommendations for the portfolio along side Senior Analysts.
- Work with our data base management systems to help develop various investment management tools including the credit assessment frameworks for quarterly sector reviews.
- Perform quantative analysis of index/benchmark sub-sectors to help measure portfolio and sub-portfolio risk.

Requirements:
- A bachelor-s degree is required, preferably with some combination of finance/accounting, computer science and quantitative analysis.
- The ideal candidates should have a strong academic background.
- 1-3 years practical experience a plus.
- They should also have strong programming, (Excel/Python) and data base management skills.
- The ideal candidate should be able to work independently on complex projects with minimal supervision and be able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Applicants working toward a CFA are strongly preferred.
- Experience working with financial modeling and spreadsheet building a plus.
