Your role:

Are you a data savvy person? Are you passionate about the financial services industry?

We are looking for a Data Analyst to:

• create new and innovative ways of aggregating large and diverse datasets, while maintaining existing content seamlessly
• ensure accurate and timely data dissemination and respond to ad-hoc requests related to database maintenance
• internal data warehousing as well as support and development of reach of products and databases
• manage quarterly data sourcing process and external population consultant databases entry with UBS Asset Management strategy data
• observe future development in the regulatory field and anticipate potential implications on you own role
• be recognized as an expert and maintain contact with internal and external stakeholders (particularly: IT, external data receivers, project teams, fund administrators, client coverage and regulatory management)
• monitor of the MiFID/PRIPPs process during all workflows
• ensure up-to-date process and workflow manuals

Your team:

You will help lead our database management efforts within the Asset Management Regulatory and Strategy Data team based in Basel. We are an efficient and focused team concentrating mainly on maintaining and preparing high quality data information for external and internal, global recipients. Our team is split into two primary areas of focus: the data dissemination of information on investment strategies (database management) and maintaining and developing the Asset Management Regulatory database. As a data analyst, you will be instrumental in ensuring our database management processes stay ahead of the curve.

Your expertise:

• degree in a business related field, or equivalent experience
• database management skills, knowledge of relational d tabases
• commitment and willingness to take expert responsibility
• knowledge with regards to investor protection (MiFID/PRIIPs) is a plus
• good knowledge of German and English
• organizational talent and excellent time management skills
• analytical  and conceptual thinking, affinity to numbers and distinct working morals
• very good PC user (MS Office (MS Excel/MS Access including VBA), SQL, other programming languages are a plus)
