Our client is a fast growing multi branches PRC bank in HK. The bank has recently also set up its investment bank. Their banking activities are Consumer, Commercial, Corporate, Cross Border and Investment banking. The principal types of risk inherent in the bank's businesses are credit risk, interest rate risk, market risk, liquidity risk, operational risk, reputation risk, legal and compliance risk, and strategic risk. Their risk management objective is to maintain risk exposures within acceptable level amid the Bank's efforts made to enhance shareholders' wealth.

The Job
  • Report to the Chief Risk Officer and serve risk committee on all risk related issues and chair credit committee;
  • Play a leadership role in bank-wide risk management responsibilities of all risk types, including credit, market risk, liquidity, legal and compliance, operational, and etc. and in charge of the establishment of bank-wide risk management framework and system based on mid to long term business strategies and near term targets
  • Provide guidance and leadership to the Heads of all business units within the Bank, including the Basel Implementation Team;
  • Maintain close contact with external regulators, such as HKMA, SFC and CBRC and any other regulatory bodies and explain to them the Bank's risk management processes and risk strategies.
  • Develop and manage risk measurement models
  • Work with the CCO to prepare for Basel III compliance and implementation
  • Execute the bank's risk strategy, policies, framework and governance


The requirements
  • 15 years in commercial banking, of which not less than 3 years as deputy CRO or CCO.
  • Holder of a good degree in business discipline with a professional qualification, such as CFA, ACCA or LLB.
  • Excellent command of English and Chinese. You must speak Putonghua
