This is an opportunity to join the Americas Country Risk research team at the top-ranked independent research provider, Fitch Solutions. The role involves working closely with our head of Americas Country Risk and global economists, covering markets in North America and Latin America.

Relevant analytical experience required, ideally working across country and political risk, with a focus on both quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • BA or MA in Economics or similar. CFA level I, II or III beneficial but not required.
  • 2-3 years relevant experience.

Role:
  • Produce macroeconomic forecasts and written research on markets in North America and Latin America.
  • Follow political developments across North America and Latin America and produce commercially-minded political risk research.
  • Monitor financial market developments, maintaining close contact with global economists and head of Americas Country Risk to flag key developments.
  • Work closely with the head of Americas Country Risk to ensure analytical consistency of regional views.
  • Liaise with global economists to ensure consistency of North America and global views.
  • Collaborate with Industry analysts to ensure consistency of Industry and Country Risk analysis and to create integrated, topical research.
  • Present key views to clients and prospective clients via email, phone calls and in-person meetings.

  • Excellent writing and presentation skills
  • Working knowledge of main macroeconomic and political issues affecting North America and Latin America
  • Ability to work independently to tight deadlines, as well as in a team environment
  • Independent, out-of-the-box thinking
  • Self-starter and very strong attention to detail
  • Proactive communicator
  • Spanish language skills would be advantageous
