POSITION SUMMARY:
The successful candidate will be responsible for risk exposure monitoring, real estate risk database management, portfolio surveillance, and reporting for the Nuveen Real Estate platform, as well as be the keeper of real estate exposure data, risk reports, policies and procedures. In addition, the candidate will provide support for risk identification, analysis, assessment, and mitigation of current investments, acquisitions, and dispositions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Monitor, analyze, aggregate and report portfolio and platform risk exposures
Develop and maintain the market risk report and asset early warning list
Conduct quarterly portfolio surveillance meetings with portfolio management teams, and draft/distribute meeting minutes
Support the development and maintenance of risk data infrastructure
Provide analytical and data support on investments, portfolios, and the Nuveen Real Estate platform
Assist with large/complex investment review and risk modeling
Serve as the data steward of CRE information for large clients and portfolios
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- Bachelors in Real Estate, Engineering, Science, Business, Economics, or Math
- 5+ years of work experience in real estate research/portfolio management/risk management, financial reporting, accounting, or investment related fields
Preferred:
- Masters in Real Estate, Engineering, Science, Business, Economics, or Math
-10+ years of work experience in real estate research/portfolio management/risk management, financial reporting, accounting, or investment related fields
- CFA, CPA, or CRE
- Programming skills and knowledge of database programs
- Knowledge of real estate markets and investments i
- Experience with Bloomberg
- Knowledge of Tableau, Crystal Ball, SPSS/SAS, and/or other simulation/econometric programs
- Excellent interpersonal, writing, and presentation skills (please include writing samples)
