Assistant Vice President, Credit Portfolio Management

Enterprise Risk Managements seeks to expand its Credit Portfolio Management team to include a portfolio manager at the Assistant Vice President level who has experience with data analytics, stress testing, problem-solving and project management. Excellent Microsoft Excel and database query skills are required. Experience with financial controls and financial products, as well as light knowledge of statistical programming, are beneficial.

The ideal candidate will have experience with credit reserve and impairment processes, including CECL and/or IFRS9. Among other things, this team is responsible for liaising and coordinating across multiple departments of the Bank to ensure that the reserve and impairment reporting processes adhere to the strict quarterly timelines and the reserve documentation is managed to a professional standard. This role will interact closely with the CECL modelling team, the SOX control and the Accounting and Finance teams of the Bank.

Job Description
  • Perform credit, credit reserve, impairment, stress testing and other risk analyses and reporting duties, as needed
  • Execute credit portfolio management processes in adherence with the target state operating model and ensure procedures are followed. This includes collecting and analyzing data from source systems and models, liaising between multiple cross functional departments, preparing results for presentation to governance bodies and escalating issues, as needed.
  • Prepare and maintain procedures.
  • Track control framework execution and documentation.
  • Participate in relevant committees and working groups as appropriate
    Experience/Abilities:
  • 5+ years of experience in a global financial institution, with solid understanding of credit/market risk principles, financial markets and regulations and regulatory guidance
  • Knowledge and experience with credit portfolios and credit risk management.
  • Proven interpersonal skills at all levels of a large and complex global organization, articulating and defending points of view, collaborating to reach common goals and influencing senior management, while simueltaneously being open to dialogue and alternatives.
  • Excellent writing skills, as well as proficiency with financial modeling, portfolio analytics and data analysis
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Equivalent to a B.S. degree in Business, Finance, or related field
  • MBA, MSF or CFA a plus.
