POSITION SUMMARY 

We are looking for a high performing individual who is incredibly strong in performing due diligence on private equity and private real estate investments.  As a dependable team member in driving valuable information and insights, this role is a critical contributor to the success of the organization.  Ideal candidate is service-focused and will be responsible for our client’s portfolio management activities, such as performance review, asset allocation review, and trading.  The Investment Analyst will serve as a business partner to members of the investment committee.  Responsibilities in doing so: conduct market, economic and investment research, present well-prepared research and analysis on current investments, as well as proposed investment or allocation changes, and question or debate other committee members’ research and analysis to encourage comprehensive thinking.  

Investment Analyst is the one of the primary in-office point of contact for Advisors and works closely with the Client Service Associates to ensure a high level of client support is delivered in a responsive manner with exemplary advice. The Analyst will partner with Advisors as a back-up for client accounts which includes direct client interaction via in-person meetings, email and telephone. Conduct and participate in meetings as appropriate.  Analyst will handle incoming Advisor or client due diligence requests on private investments and assist in sourcing new private investment opportunities.  

Analyst will build collaborative working relationships throughout the organization and inspire confidence from the investment team by providing excellent analytical support; instilling a service orientation across multiple departments; identifying and implementing system and process improvements; meeting the needs of internal stakeholders or ahead of schedule; creating a culture of transparency, information sharing, accountability and efficiency; and, communicating and setting clear priorities and performance expectations.  

At the request and direction of the CIO, candidate will meet with outside investment firm representatives and maintain strong working relationships with each of our investment partner firms.  Additionally, candidate will review private wealth management technology to continue the firm’s strength in using top of the line solutions for both our internal use and client facing tools.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE AND MINDSET 

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university: Business, Finance, Economics, or Investments/Actuarial/Mathematics 

  • Hold a CFA and/or CAIA designation    

  • 10 years or more of experience in the financial services industry being a high-achiever with a reputation for being a rockstar that gets things done (client service, consulting, portfolio management, financial planning)   

  • 5 years or more of experience performing due diligence on private investments  

  • Record of success in improving processes and leading department growth 

  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests, and manage lateral and upwards 

  • Proficiency across many of the following platforms: Morning Star, Bloomberg, Black Diamond, Salesforce, or RedBlack 

  • Emotional maturity and professional mindset 

  • Strong presentation skills including the ability to make concise arguments with conviction  

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal 

  • Proficiency in all areas of Microsoft Office and Apple iOS mobile; must be very tech savvy 

  • United States work authorization 

  • Criminal Background check is required
