With over $55 billion in total commitments since 2000, the Private Investments team is responsible for sourcing, evaluating and monitoring private investment funds across buyout, growth equity, real estate and private credit funds for inclusion in private client portfolios across Global Wealth Management. Our fifteen person due diligence team uses a disciplined, open architecture approach to source and select high quality private investment funds for inclusion in portfolios. The Private Investments team is also responsible for the portfolio management of our Vintage Program, a series of diversified and thematic investment programs managed on behalf of GWM private bank clients.
We are seeking an experienced, Hong Kong-based due diligence professional to help expand our efforts due diligence of Asia based investment managers with a focus on China. The role would be primarily focused on sourcing and monitoring fund commitments in private equity and growth equity strategies. The candidate would partner extensively with our New York based due diligence team and with our broader Alternative Investment team partners located in Hong Kong, Singapore, Mumbai, London and Geneva.

- Source and leading fund manager searches, due diligence and monitoring of new and existing private fund investments.
- Identify new strategies and themes to pursue and contribute to thought leadership on trends that global private markets investing.
- Partnering with our NY due diligence team to review, analyze and evaluate new funds
- Assist with the portfolio management of our Vintage Program of funds.
- Deep experience and networks in Asian private markets investing
- Strong judgment and well reasoned perspectives on market cycles and risk.
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Strong presentation and communication skills to represent JPMorgan to fund managers, internal audiences and GWM clients.
Ideally the candidate will have: - Solid experience evaluating LP commitments to private funds focused China and broader Asia Pacific
- Experience evaluating direct and co-investment opportunities in growth and early stage investments preferred
- Strong local language fluency
- CFA or MBA preferred.
- Series 7 & 63 licenses are required. If not currently licensed, will be required to obtain within first 120 days.
