JobDescription :
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
-- Publishes a series of regular complex research on ratings and credit trends. Ensures that research meets expected high-quality standards of analysis and timeliness . Develops the appropriate data tools to support this research.
-- Contribute to developing the research strategy for the North American Research Hub. Coordinates with senior managers and analysts (and other internal S&P stakeholders) such as editorial, communications, marketing to improve dissemination of key messages.
-- Share's findings via multiple media outlets.
-- Oversee research/publications generated by others within North American Ratings (to facilitate/ensure the production of high quality research).
Functional & Business Knowledge:
-- Has extensive knowledge and experience/skill that enables credit and market trend analysis.
Problem Solving:
-- Assists others in identifying and resolving complex research analysis issues and team problems.
Interactions:
-- Actively participates as a public spokesperson for S&P on ratings and credit trends. Speaks to journalists on a regular basis, in addition to participating and moderating external conference panel discussions.
-- Communicates regularly with key internal stakeholders.
Typical Scope & Impact:
-- Impacts the quality of research and effectiveness of team in implementing the business unit thought leadership strategy.
Supports the North American Credit Condition Committee by contributing to sector/industry trends.
Qualifications:
B.A. required. Advanced degrees and certifications such as a CFA and Masters, MBA are preferred.
7+ years experience in financial services or similar industry or 10+ without advanced degrees.
Strong research, writing and publishing experience preferred.
