As SVP of Client Engagement & Experience Strategy you will focus on strengthening and growing State Streets client relationships by delivering differentiated programming, communications and thought leadership.

You will be responsible for setting and implementing a vision and global strategy to drive differentiated client engagement and overall experience. You will maintain deep awareness of our market and organizational context while ensuring that State Street provides innovative and agile responses to client needs and competitive pressures.

The scope of how you will drive outcomes in your role includes client events, advisory boards and user groups, creating a membership ethos across key client segments, and delivering insights and thought leadership to drive value and change clients perception of State Street. Success in this role will be reflected in client engagement, client demand for programs and overall quality.

You will have 15-20 years of leadership experience in financial services, across business units and corporate functions, with proven strategy, customer analytics, and communications capabilities. You will lead a team covering events, sponsorships, thought leadership, customer segmentation and journey planning and customer insights and build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across State Street.

Responsibilities include
  • Develop and implement client strategy and value proposition to drive State Streets client engagement including advisory boards, C-suite engagement, user groups, branded events, sponsorships, and ongoing communications, such as newsletters and webinars.
  • Partner with product and client organizations to drive the intended attendance and engagement across programming
  • Implement best practices based on financial services and other industry programming that is viewed as best-in-class.
  • Drive agility in the firms client engagement and experience to be more responsive, attuned and impactful, allowing the firm to move faster than its competitors.
  • Develop a steady stream of domain-specific rich content to target and nurture State Streets key client segments.
  • Establish qualitative and quantitative success metrics and implementing systems and processes to embed feedback mechanisms and drive ongoing improvements.
  • Be a conduit and advocate for product and service-related feedback.

Qualifications
  • 15-20 years in Financial Services, with experience across business units and corporate functions.
  • Leadership roles directly developing and executing client strategy.
  • Significant expertise aligning multiple business units and functions in support of organizational priorities.
  • Proven capability to develop collaborative relationships with senior leaders
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise agility and experience in transforming cultures.
  • An advanced understanding of how State Street works, including fluency of its strategy, products and services, and its organizational structure.
  • Strategy experience and a MBA or CFA an asset.
  • Experience in asset management and other priority client segments, such as insurance or asset owners, an asset.
  • Leadership experience in institutional marketing an asset.
