Overview

U.S. Bancorp Investments is looking for an Associate levelprofessional to join the Credit Strategy team within its Credit Fixed IncomeGroup in Charlotte, N.C.

The Credit Strategist will be responsible for creditcoverage of companies and industries across the investment grade and high yielddebt markets.

The individual will provide timely information and riskmanagement to corporate bond traders and disseminate credit updates andrelative value ideas to the salesforce and investing clients.

Other responsibilities include providing internal salesmemos to facilitate the new issue process.

Primary Responsibilities

The credit strategist will conduct fundamental fixed incomecredit analysis and relative value ideas on companies across multipleindustries.

This involvescore research, including dissecting earnings releases and assessing relevantnews events, modeling financial statements and industry dynamics, writingcredit strategy notes, and speaking to internal/external clients, ratingagencies and management teams.

Maintain quantitative, fundamental, and relative valuescreens to assist in analyzing companies and industries under assignedcoverage.

Communicate credit information and relative value ideas oncompanies and industry sectors to the trading desk, salesforce, debt capitalmarkets, and investing clients on a regular basis.

Travel as necessary.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with coursework in accounting and finance

3+ years of relevant analyst work experience.

Preferred Skills/Experience

Three years of buy-side or sell-side fixed income researchexperience preferred.

Strong accounting acumen, analytical skills, and attentionto detail.

Both highly self-motivated and self-sufficient but able towork collegially with a team.

Proficient in using Bloomberg and Microsoft Office products,with an advanced level of proficiency in Excel.

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communicationskills.

A CFA, orprogress toward a CFA, is a plus.
